• Franklin Gutierrez becomes the 2nd player in M’s history to hit a pinch-hit grand slam. Ben Broussard hit the 1st pinch-hit grand slam in 2007. 1st 4 RBI game and grand slam since 2008. Both feats were accomplished in the same game against the White Sox.
• The M’s 2-5 hole hitters each scored 2 runs in the game.
• Nelson Cruz and J.D. Martinez both hit home run of 450 plus feet. This is the 1st game since 2012 that players on opposing teams have hit home run of the that length. The M’s were involved in the last time this happened. It was a game against the Blue Jays that say Edwin Encarnacion and Dustin Ackley hit 450 plus home runs.
• Robinson Cano records his 8th multi-hit game of the month and 3rd in the last 4 games.
